Notes	He was on the western shore by June 16, 1676, since on that day "Waters Adventure" and "The Forks" were surveyed for him. Skordas records two John Waters as immigrants, one transported in 1668, a second transported in 1669. In 1678 he received tobacco for participation in the Nanticoke Indian War (as did Fardinando Battee, Sr.), which shows that he wasn't a Quaker at the time. He and Battee were likely Puritans. See the Waters family history "John Waters of West River Hundred, Maryland." He is the Waters progenitor from whom all of the names in Anne Arundel Gentry spring.
